Dr. Stuart Helms has officially taken over as the Director of Autopsy Services. Helms has been the acting Director ever since the previous director, Dr. David Thurmond, passed away a month ago. This means that Dr. Siri Tham will be promoted to Assistant Director, and Dr.Djombe Ojimbwa will move into the Principle Medical Examiner slot vacated by Tham. Congratulations to all! Of course, it will mean more meetings for Stuart, more paper work for Siri, and many more long hours and emergency autopsies for Djombe.
